A march organized by the organization "Left Behind" began from the First Republic Square. Members of various organizations and political parties are also participating in the march. Some TSU students also joined the rally, holding a banner with the inscription: "The election was stolen from us, but the day is ours," and they also brought Georgian and European Union flags.
According to the organizers of the rally, they are leading the march towards Tbilisi State University.
“This regime is getting tougher and tougher. We understand that rigging the elections is not the only step they have taken. We are fighting for an independent, European country where there are independent institutions and where “Russian law” is not adopted, where NGOs and people are not persecuted for their views and where they are not beaten by special forces. The fact is that every day we learn a lot that will distance Georgia from the European Union,” said Ilia Glonti, one of the organizers of the rally.
"The plan has three constituent aspects. The first is the international non-recognition of the elections, the second is the entry of no opposition party into parliament, and this is the day of recognition of authority, so that the public does not interfere with this process, so that no representative of the "Georgian Dream" appears in that hall. Recognition of the authority of this parliament implies the loss of independence," said Levan Sanikidze.
Several patrol police crews have also been mobilized to the scene.
