Positron emission computed tomography – 𝗣𝗘𝗧/𝗖𝗧 is an alternative study for diagnosing oncological diseases and determining the correct treatment tactics!
𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗦 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗢𝗦 𝗗𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗘𝗧/𝗖𝗧 – the world's first and the only fully digital positron emission computed tomography scanner in Georgia at the National Center for Surgery!

Advantages of digital 𝗣𝗘𝗧/𝗖𝗧 compared to “analog” devices:

Has digital photon counting technology. Registers all unique photons that exist as a result of the decay of an isotope in a cell;

High image quality at the expense of increased sensitivity;

It detects even the smallest tumor foci, which do not exceed 2-3 mm and could not be detected using an “analog” device;

Allows us to accurately describe the formation;

Consumes a lower dose of the isotope, therefore, digital 𝗣𝗘𝗧/𝗖𝗧 is less sensitive to its half-life and the patient receives the lowest radiation dose;

The study is conducted in minimal time for the patient.

PET/CT is a hybrid nuclear medicine study. It combines positron emission tomography and computed tomography, the combined data of which reveal the exact localization of the tumor and its metabolism.

Leading specialists from Emory University (USA) and the Oncology Institute of the University of Madrid (Spain) support the National Center for Surgery in the treatment of oncological patients!
